形态描述

鉴别特征：额角末端通常尖，具4或5背齿、0～2腹齿；头胸甲具明显触角刺；第三颚足末第三节很少宽于末第二节；第一步足螯正常，不卷曲形成半闭的管状构造；第三步足指节双爪状；眼眶后头胸甲最大长度7 mm以上。共栖宿主：双壳类软体动物，砗蝶属Tridacna、Hippopus、江瑶属Pinna、Me—leagrina等属的种类。 米尔斯贝隐虾已发现的共栖宿主有砗嚎属Hippopus、砗磲属Tridacna以及江瑶属Pinna、珍珠贝属Pteria、珠母贝属Pinctada、Meleagrina的种类。南海北部沿岸浅水已有发现，分布范围极广。

国外分布

红海，非洲东部沿海，直到新加坡，越南，马来西亚，菲律宾，印度尼西亚，日本，向东至巴布亚新几内亚，澳大利亚，新喀里多尼亚，卡罗林群岛，马绍尔群岛，土阿莫土群岛。
